The adorable Wally Cox. If the children had died, their bodies would have been found in the pool (as Gart's body was found in the snow). In both cases, they went to better places. For Gart this appears to be his version of heaven, so his new body is a spirit body of sorts (although I don't think he actually intended to kill himself). The children appear to be in another dimension. The question is, will they continue aging and eventually find a way back to this dimension as adults? If they remain children forever I think they'll get pretty bored with swimming and baking cakes. Perhaps we are to infer that Rod Serling came from Gregory West (and his tape recorder), and because Serling came to life, he had his own imagination and abilities, so he created the Twilight Zone. Then, after West destroyed the Serling tape, he had a change of heart and described Serling into the tape recorder again (as he had done with Mary over and over) so that Serling could come back to life and continue with the series. While my favorite British "comedy" of all time is Monty Python's Flying Circus, ATGB is my favorite "situation comedy." It's been running on my local PBS station on Saturday night for years, and I still miss it those weeks when they're doing a pledge drive (even though I own the whole series on DVD). The only weeks I don't watch it are those weeks when BBC America programs Graham Norton at the same time. I hope you don't want this list in order of preference! Here are my top 38 in alphabetical order: After Hours, The Back There Changing of the Guard, The Deaths-head Revisited Death Ship Elegy Hundred Yards Over the Rim, A Hunt, The I Sing the Body Electric Last Flight, The Lateness of the Hour, The Lonely, The Long Live Walter Jameson Miniature Monsters Are Due On Maple Street, The Nick of Time Night Call Number Twelve Looks Just Like You Odyssey of Flight 33, The Parallel, The Penny for Your Thoughts, A Purple Testament, The Queen of the Nile Ring-a-ding Girl 7th is Made Up of Phantoms, The Silence, The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine, The Static Stop at Willoughby, A To Serve Man Trouble With Templeton, The Valley of the Shadow Walking Distance When the Sky Was Opened, And Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up World of Difference World of His Own, A Young Man’s Fancy The actor playing Buono only had a couple of lines on tonight's episode, but his voice sounded exactly like Buono's, and he seemed a lot like him nonverbally as well. It was very brief, but he did a great job. "Gurney does have a choice though: he could just play along. That, however, might not go so well for him because everyone in this new reality might start to question why he's calling this apparent stranger his wife." We don't get to see how others react to this wife, however. Will she be seen as a stranger by them (meaning she's now in a reality in which no one recognizes her, just as Gurney had been)? Or will she be seen as his wife, meaning he's the only one who doesn't recognize her? If it's the latter, perhaps he could adjust.... I like it, but it's frustrating (from the perspective of the primary character) in the same way that "Person Or Persons Unknown" and "And When the Sky Was Opened" are frustrating. I tend to empathize too strongly with characters who are not believed when they are telling the truth, so I become angry on their behalf. Consequently, I especially like it when they are validated in the end (thanks to the arrival of Colonel Gaines, in the case of this episode). I rarely watch "Living Doll" because I hate the Telly Savalas character so much. Thanks. It took me a minute to figure out how to do that, but I finally realized that you have to click on "email" and then it asks you if you want notifications. That would be up to the person who runs it. This isn't my area of expertise, so I don't know how much work it would be to add that function, but I would DEFINITELY be in favor of it. The other thing I would like to see duplicated from the previous site has to do with text changing color after you've read it. The thread titles would change color after I'd clicked on them, and within the threads, the reply posts would do the same. This is important because I frequently go back into a thread to read the new posts, but it's difficult to tell where I left off. Hello gbennett5. I believe I recognize your "name" as that of a Twilight Zone fan, yes? I was born in 1962, so I have only a vague memory of the theme music and Hitchcock's profile silhouette from when I was a child in the 60s. I didn't really begin watching episodes until well into adulthood when I began getting into Hitchcock in general. However, I've been watching the Twilight Zone for much longer, and it was the TZ posters on IMDB who directed me to this site. One reason why I began watching the Hitchcock Hour is that I loved Maggie McNamara on the "Ring-A-Ding Girl" episode of TZ, and I looked her up to see what else she'd been in. At that point I began watching the Hour, waiting for them to air the "Body in the Barn" episode, which I recorded with my VCR. I think it's ridiculous that AH Presents is out on DVD in the US, but the Hour isn't. You're not the only fan. I was hoping the old IMDB comments would be here, but I guess they couldn't copy everything before those boards disappeared. I can't really say what my favorite episode is because I haven't seen them all. Unfortunately the series isn't on DVD in Region 1, so I have to rely on watching MeTV. I can say that "Body in the Barn" is significant for me simply because Maggie McNamara is in it. I think I've posted this before (somewhere), but I really don't see Tennyson as cheating. The agreement did not say, "You must remain silent for a year, but you can't cut your vocal chords." That may have been Taylor's intention (if he had thought of it), but he didn't say it. Having said that, I do agree that Tennyson was foolish to just take Taylor's word for it. It doesn't ring a bell with me, but it's definitely not an original TZ episode. By the way, if the hole is filling with water, can't the person just tread water until he gets to the top and then get out? I'm sure I must be missing something here. "EtaoinShrdlu001 11 days ago -- today's reality isn't too far from what the show was warning about... Like that one with the Scarey Dummy?" EtaoinShrdlu001, I think I understand what you're getting at, and I couldn't agree more. No joke, I have seriously felt like I was in the Twilight Zone for the past three months. I watch the Twilight Zone (series) partly to get away from the Twilight Zone (reality). Yup. I went in there this afternoon, and I was getting lots of error messages, but I managed to make one last post. I went in there again a few minutes ago, and the boards are already gone (7:30 p.m. AZ time, which is 9:30 p.m. east coast time). I just joined here, and I also joined Reddit. IMDB: Twilight Zone.
