A daily dose that would make them experience the terror felt by their victims.

As we saw in the movie, people given darkenfloxx would simply kill themselves to stop the pain.

it would turn them into nutcases in the end - prolly not the best form of rehabilitation - more like vengeance, and because it would turn them into nutcases, it would require putting them down in the end

In other words, you are looking at a form of execution
