Highest grossing DCEU movie since the first Aquaman back in 2018.

Some people speak ill of my man James Wan but the dude is quite consistent with his box office results.

He launced three blockbuster horror franchies in Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring.

He helmed the highest grossing Fast & Furious movie (Furious 7) and the highest grossing DCEU movie (Aquaman).

Malignant did technically flop but it was a bonkers horror movie released during the pandemic as a day-and-date release on HBO max. It's $35 million gross is impressive given the circumstances.

There is talk of Wan making a Call of Cthulhu movie next. I hope that is the case.

I like what he did with the first 'Aquaman' movie but he would had been perfect for like a 'Justice League Dark' or 'Swamp Thing' movie.

Yeah, I'd kind of prefer if he did the Batman movie for James Gunn's reboot of the DCU instead of the 'Flash' guy.

Haven't heard anything about Gunn's version of Batman other than Muschietti being attached to direct (although there was speculation that he might not still be after The Flash did poorly), and that it will be lighter in tone than the Reeves/Pattinson Batman. Oh, and apparently there'll be a Robin.
