My Ilsa..
You will always be the best character of this franchise..
shareI liked her :-(

Yep, I'd hoped there was a chance she survived and is recovering in hiding, and that Ethan, Benji and Luther hid her to protect her AND to motivate Grace, but since seeing the digital download w/ McQ's commentary:
(1) I noticed that when she faces Gabriel, her make-up makes her seem worn out, even dead already, suggesting she's at the end of her rope
(2) They made it a point to digitally erase her visible pulse when Ethan touches her face
(3) McQ goes on about the emotional trauma that Ethan, Luther and Benji are each demonstrating
(4) Ilsa's death was intended, by the Entity, to make Ethan kill Gabriel -- the fact that Luther tipped to this AND confronted Ethan about it suggests that her death was real
While a fake-out is still possible, it'd cheapen everything else we've been shown.
More likely the intent is to have Grace and maybe Paris (Pom's character) join the IMF in her place
My impression is that she's very most likely dead. We might see her in flashbacks in part 8.
shareI'm willing to bet somehow, she's still alive as closure for Ethan when this storyline concludes and Ethan goes off into the Sunset with her??
shareSo disappointed that they decided to kill her in this film.
shareI guess Rebecca Ferguson wanted to move on to other projects.
shareObviously not. She loved doing these movies.
shareYes, but she also resented how much time they took to make for very little Ilsa-screentime. She wanted to do other projects so she was happy to check out of M:I…

I absolutely hated what they decided to do to her.
