Underperforming at the box office
Another example of an over crowded summer. Everyone is seeing Sound of Freedom or waiting next weekend for Barbie and Oppenheimer

sharePart One will need about $ 650M Globally to be in black!
It’s not unlikely it’s at that mark by next Monday.
I watched it Thursday morning July 13. It's not as good as Fallout and quite frankly just a little better than MI2. Can't say I'm looking out for part 2 on the big screen. I'll watch it when it's streaming or "available".
Looks like it was just an overhyped movie. Besides, cinemagoing is dead.
"Just a little better than MI2" might be one of the worst things you could say about this film. MI2 was a straight turd. Harsh, bro
shareSound Of Freedom is beating it , Hollywood is finished
shareBO just hit whopping $265M WW
shareFrom what I hear this will likely finish between $570 - $700 million... not great given the budget and expectations.
shareDoesn't look like it will hit the heights of MI4/5's 700m , especially with the Barbie/Oppenheimer crazy double whammy dominating theatres (making likes of MI and Indiana Jones feel old hat/done already)
I guess it could still total MI2s 500m range* , which would be a major disappointment considering most figured it would break 1b due to Fallouts rising box office 800m/Top Guns crazy 1.5b (*of course 550m in 2000 be about 1b adjusted to today)
If MI8 (DR Part 2) ends up similar the series could be done as least with Cruise, (no doubt it would get rebooted in few years)
