This is an entertaining rom com that still asks some serious questions. Why do we still get hot and bothered when an older woman dates a younger man? The issue gets even more amplified when you add global celebrity and social media. Solene, the woman(Ann Hathaway) finds herself under attack on social media as everyone adds their two pennyworth. In real life the late Caroline Flack , the TV presenter was subjected to abuse online when she dated Harry Styles from One Direction. The character Hayes Campbell in this film is clearly based on Styles.

This is a common phenomenon. Hailey Bieber received a lot of hate too when she dared to land Justin.

Hailey is younger than Beibs by 3 years... which is considered an "acceptable" age gap in our society.

Nothing wrong with a young dude in a relationship with a hot older woman. It's a common young guy's fantasy.

It's not really much of a comedy, just a romance, and a pretty good one.
