What was the point of opening on a film stage?
I enjoyed it. But what was the point of opening (and ending) on a film stage? Is the director trying to say that we're about to hear a story? But that's true for every movie, no?

shareTo remind us that the story was a fiction. But a very stylised way of doing it. Trying to be clever, but it didn't work.
shareI wasn't a fan of the fourth wall breaking with Niamh Alger playing herself (she was wasted in the film too). It came off really pretentious to me. The film didn't need it and it took me out of it. Shame really as Florence Pugh is great in it, and young Kila Lord Cassidy (must be cool to act with her own mum Elaine Cassidy in the film) held her own with Pugh. Has a bright career for herself.
