Canada vs Georgia
I like the show but its painfully clear it was shot up north and not down south. Weakest part of the series.

shareI live south of Atlanta not too far from where the series is supposed to take place. The scene at the airport curb in Episode 7 doesn't look like Hartsfield-Jackson, and just now I was looking at the scene that is supposed to take place at the Five Points MARTA station. In Episode 4 at 41:23 you can see a sign in the station that says "YRT/Viva", which is apparently some Canadian transit system. And to be honest, there would be way more young black people at the Five Points station than shown in the episode.
shareI love Georgia. Great state. Shooting on location would add an another layer of authenticity to the show.
Some amazing towns that Georgia.
Alot of it was filmed in a small town in Ontario Canada - Port Perry. (so was American Gods) I used to keep my boat there, 30 mins from where I live.
All of the outside shots were from there - by the Police Station and Town Hall, barber shop etc.
And ya - I've never ever seen a black person there - LOL.
I loved the first episode but downhill after that - I was hoping that each episode would be a new setting.
I just watched the rest to say 'I've been there';'they changed the sign on that building';'that's not Georgia'
Disagree. Ontario has the same kind of humidity in the summer, and similar type of vegetation and architecture.
What I don’t understand is why they just didn’t film in Georgia, given that Georgia is a major film location with tax breaks.
Isn't that the norm? Lot's of shows say they're "here", when they were actually shot "there".
shareHaving never been to GA, I was mostly okay with characters' "southern" accents being all over the place, but when the guy who takes Kristin Kreuk and kids to witness protection (Agent Picard) said, "Do not let this bite me in in the ass. We are talking ABOAT my career, here." I was like, O, CANADA...
