I like the series but cant get past the fact he was bought up by that old woman but speakes with a foreign accent

Maybe he took a blow to the head in his youth and has Foreign Accent Syndrome.

He has an accent because he didn’t speak her language (whatever the Star Wars common tongue is) when she kidnapped/rescued him

Presumably his accent is Kenari in the Star Wars universe, it just sounds Mexican to us

lol nobody's accents made sense in this show. i was more bewildered by the connection between the failed commander guy and his foreign old mother.
