Shoot them in the head ffs !!!!

Nuff said !

I think this show accurately demonstrates the difficulty in a precise head shot on a moving target...it's pretty f***ing tough to do👍

I kind of agree ! but there are absolutely some situations in the episodes that it is unbelievable that the shooter has missed the targets head or seems to be deliberately aiming anywhere apart from a head shot !

I actually really really enjoyed it despite my gripe !

(SPOILERS AHEAD)

On episode 3, when Ryan is shot in the school, Spears seem to know that both him and Rose have to go before he turns. However, he could have easily finished him by shooting him in the head while he could, which would have avoided the following nonsense sequence of running around and shooting randomly.

The whole episode was stupid, on a survival point of view. One of the things I would have done after the kid shot Ryan and they just turn around and run (they know he would turn) is to carefully aim and shoot as many of them I could on the back (I know, I know, they would turn, but I would hope that they just create havoc around the school for the rest of kids, too).

Another thing that crossed my mind when they escaped the building is "I would burn that whole school to the ground, with all those little fuck*rs inside", especially when I saw that in the final sequence they left the door open again, "resetting" the trap for new victims.

Oh boy, that episode made me angry.

By the way, it's quite obvious that they stole the whole "you don't need to get bitten in order to be infected, if you die, you turn" from "The Walking Dead".

Not needing to be bitten to turn has been a trope of zombie films since George Romero's Night of the Living Dead in the 60s, it's usually just anyone recently deceased turns. I wouldn't say they've "stolen" it from TWD.

reply

Yep, they're all following the standard Romero rules. These are more like Dawn of the Dead 2004/Train to Busan zombies than TWDs slow walkers though.

Clearly mass communications fell apart before the authorities had much useful information to give the public. So if a person hasn't seen a zombie succumb to a head shot, they'll probably assume they can't be killed. Spears wasn't sure at first why Rose's husband went down. Maybe it was the multiple shots. At some point between the school and the diner is when it finally dawned on him I think. Because he'd shot Ryan over and over and it did nothing. So what was different the first time? The head shot! Of course!!!

What about not closing doors behind you? The whole episode was stupid.

I found it hard to swallow that a handful of teenage bullies and a bunch of little kids could be so organized, disciplined, and cold-bloodedly lethal. How were they keeping everyone fed? Where did they get enough fuel to keep the generators running? And what the hell were all those kids building in the shop? But what they lacked in plausibility the Children of the School made up for with cool horror movie creepiness.

Not in the Walking Dead!
