Why is every show competing for gayest on TV?

3 episodes in and this woke freak show is in the lead.

I mean what the fuck?

Boring characters ramming each other up the ass.

Freakish trans characters.

No attractive actresses.

Even Goldblum (who is terrific as always) can’t save this thing.

It’s like the producers took the scripts and said, “Cool idea for a show. Now let’s fuck it all up to drive away the massive mainstream audience.”

I thought Disney’s shit was bad.

You don't appear to know anything about Ancient Greek society. Homosexuality was accepted and encouraged as were ephebophilia. Zeus was married to his sister so that's their thumbs-up to incest.

This series isn't for you. Watch the Waltons or Gunsmoke.

Just because it happened doesn’t mean it should be shown or that it will appeal to a large enough audience to make this a success and get renewed.

I don't get who they're trying to appeal to. LGBTQ+ people are a small minority. The vast majority of people are straight and want to see straight relationships. The gay stuff would have been edgy 20 or 30 years ago, but now it's just expected. American TV and movie producers have become divorced from mainstream society and have a very warped view of what people are like and what they like to watch.

This particular show is doing quite well, and has had good feedback.

And in terms of successful LGBT-themed shows otherwise: Heartstopper, Sex Education spring to mind on Netflix.

Seems I was wrong regarding view count, although I suspect this had a high bar to clear due to expensive actors. It was getting good feedback on user ratings though.
