The technology between now....and 1977

It's always kinda funny...the unavoidable challenge the producers and directors face, in (re)creating a world that we first saw in 1977 (with by today's standards very limited special effects technology).

The films we see now (Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, etc....) take place *before* A New Hope, yet the look....the effects....the technology look 10x better and more modern. (No puppets with mouths that can't move, etc....)

I mean, there's no way around it, really. Just an interesting challenge that gets created when the first film happened in the 1970's....and some of the PREQUELS are being made in 2022. Heck, even the writing is better. (No silly names for things....like "The Death Star"...."blasters", etc....). Also, these current one-offs (like The Mandalorian) don't have silly, juvenile dialogue (like Obi Wan constantly saying "My young apprentice", LOL).
