shareBecause they know who she is in the stub. A different peripheral wouldn't have helped. Plus I think they have ways to track who's using the peripherals.

shareThey didn't know because they were tracking her when she was using her brother's avatar game account. They never saw her brother's vitals. So as far as they were concerned they had the right person. When they properly put an ID on her and registered her with the authorities, her incognito status vanished.
