I’ve only seen the first 15 minutes and although it was somewhat engaging the film was portraying whites as pure evil, in a very crude and cartoonish way.

Are there good white characters as well or is this yet more anti-white racist crap?

It seems all cultures show this side of the British/white man. It should tell you something. So no, it's not racist. It's historical accounts.
