The Child constantly put in dangerous situations by Mando..

I apologize if there is already a post about this, I tried looking but didn't see one.

Is it just me or does the show seem to gloss over the fact that he does this? Especially in the first episode where he and the others are fighting the dragon. The Child was obviously there and that dragon could have popped up anywhere and killed him. I know there are many other goofs and details but this one seems too important to gloss over like that.

So ... half the bounty hunters in the galaxy are looking for this kid. Do you take him with you into danger, or leave him behind to face danger without you there to protect him? It's not like Mando has any good options.

This is true. Maybe they should have thought about having him partner with the soldier chick from the previous season? I dunno. I was just waiting for the dragon to pop up right beneath or near The Child. I guess that's what they wanted when they wrote the episode :)

reply

They were teasing us with that, definitely. Although his innate abilities could probably have protected him - at least temporarily, or until the creature's attention was drawn elsewhere.

It's been noted that whenever the Mandalorian left the child somewhere far away, something worse would happen to him, or he would be in even more danger than if he stayed with the guy.

I thought about this. I am a parent and thought about what i would do and I would have my kids with me at all times. NEVER out of my sight. It's a very hard thing to think about. I love the show! I can't get enough of that little guy! I want my own now! Lol :)

We each have our own little plush Baby Yoda's now, mom has a T-shirt with him on the front, and my dad has a cool collage picture of the title character :D

Omg so adorable!! I want the one that talks but I am going to wait until they update it with his new vocalizations! I can't wait! So cute!!

Those t-shirts are awesome! I love the one with The Child on it and the one with the helmet is awesome looking!

My main issue is the fact that he knows there is a huge galaxy wide hunt for "Baby Yoda & has been repeatedly attacked by various bounty hunters & opportunist criminals as a result yet he keeps casually strolling around in populated areas with this stupid thing in plain sight with predictable results & inexplicably being caught off guard by this multiple times. It makes no sense.

Yes, I have noticed that too. Once scene from The Marshall that annoyed me was when he first arrived at the cantina and just left The Child to wander about. He literally walked in the door without him and then they showed The Child peering around the corner of the door. Anyone could have snatched him and ran off. I don't get that kind of slip up with the writing.

I think Threadkiller & StinkyPoopyPants may be exaggerating the risk in that scene.

They were in a tiny town with far horizons. Djarin has been shown to be VERY situationally aware, despite his helmet's limited field of vision.

Anyone making a run at the kid at that point would've gotten blasted.

Let's be honest, would people watch without baby yoda? They have set it up in a way where he has to be there as much as possible. They don't even try to make it interesting without the cheap cuteness.

This show is inspired by Lone Wolf and Cub.
