And she did it within 24hrs. Agent Bea even held April accountable and threatened her with jail time without really knowing who she was?

This was one of the dumbest movies I've seen in quite a while. The attempt at humor was pitiful. The parking lot spanking or the the restaurant singing scene for example were as corny as you possibly come across.

Issa Rae and Marsai Martin were extremely charming in their roles. Im just sorry they had to waste it on this waste-of-time trash.

Yeah, there was this new person who suddenly came out of nowhere - the kid version of the boss. How they got into school and stuff - we're not meant to think about it too much. There were some genuinely funny scenes, but I don't really remember what they were now.

That restaurant singing scene truly was atrocious. Reminded me of the awkward musical numbers in Blues Brothers 2000.

I found the black / white jokes in the dialogue a little off-putting in this day and age too, especially with kids watching next to me. As an overall human race we all seem to be making some very serious efforts to get past these things but comedy movies keep setting us back as again.
