The Beatles: The GREATEST band in history

And water is wet.

My biggest appreciation about the Beatles is their entire biography as a band/entity from start to finish. Their story encompasses so many aspects of what it takes to start and maintain a band, and with them their ability to evolve artistically and commercially after becoming successful. Unfortunately, they didn't last but that's the way it was suppose to be.

I am actually glad that they didn't end up like so many other rock bands that have turned into dregs of nostalgia, and I'm not just talking within rock music but music in general, although the Rolling Stones certainly exemplify the idea of spreading too little butter over an expired loaf of bread.

Their place in history is often mocked and derided by detractors but even if you hate them you can't deny their impact.

To me The Beatles are the greatest of all time.
