I kinda saw the ending coming (Spoilers)

The fact that we didn't actually see Kayla push Britney, nor did we see a body immediately made me think it was all a hoax, cause why not show it if it wasn't a hoax?

The title of the movie is clever though, cause going into it you assume "The Lie" is the family lying to protect their daughter from being caught, when infact its Kayla's lie about Britney being alive.

I personally didn't, and thriller/drama is my favorite genre, after the girl fell from the bridge they did a great job of not giving viewers any clue or opportunity to second guess that she actually fell (or didn't fall) and after that it's a domino effect of things happening because she actually fell and died; even though she actually didn't.

I will admit in the middle of the movie they kinda got me to think she was actually dead, cause i honestly couldn't think of why Kayla would be lying through all this and pretending she was dead, so by the end of it i was surprised.

The look on her parents faces when Britney walked in at the end was fucking amazing, the acting in that scene was phenomenal, knowing they went through all that shit because a girl wanted to sneak away with her boyfriend for a few days.

I figured this out the first time it was revealed that Britney had "done this before."

^- THIS and it was obvious that Kayla wanted her parents back together. I was thinking that it was the real plan altogether so finding out it was just so Britney could see her boyfriend was the only unexpected twist of the movie. Kayla just took advantage of the situation so her parents would be closer.

In the end, it was just a bunch of psychopaths. Kayla and Britney for planning such a stupid and treacherous staging just so she could be with her boyfriend, Jay almost drowns Sam and, finally, Rebecca runs him over with the car.
