Basically John Wick...

but with an older whiter guy

reply

Maybe it's a slight retread of JW but I'm happy to have a reason to go to the movies. It looks like it could be fun.

reply

I thought it was like John Wick except better. No boring fluff, far superior acting talent in the lead, great sense of humor, amazing fight scenes that take their time and feel earned/meaningful, and just an overall amazing experience.

reply

Older by just two years.

reply

Reeves is ageless. Odenkirk looked middle aged when he was a teenager.

reply

And apparently Keanu is darker for some reason.

reply

Interestingly enough Keanu Reeves is only 2 years younger than Odenkirk but I can understand the assumption of there being a bigger age discrepancy. Keanu looks good for his age, thus retaining a degree of "agelessness" & has maintained a resonance with the youth throughout his successful film career since his 20s, thanks to a few iconic roles like Neo, John Wick and even Ted, as well as starring in video games. Odenkirk on the other hand is a career character actor who only became somewhat known after he started playing a middle aged lawyer on Breaking Bad & now Better Call Saul so that's pretty much all he's known for.

he did create The Birthday Boys one of my favorite sketch comedy shows it is as good as Million Dollar Extreme and Whitest Kids You Know. worth checking out for anyone who likes comedies

reply

Whitest Kids You Know was great! I never heard of the other one.

reply

Seems nothing like John Wick to me.

reply

Really? Even this poster is a mock up of one of the movie posters from John Wick Chapter 2. After watching it, you can definitely tell it's essentially a variation of John Wick. That's not necessarily a bad thing though

reply

older and whiter? sounds even more badass!!

reply

To me, that sounds more evil and oppressive.

reply

evil and oppressive = badass

It is written by the guy who wrote the first three John Wick films, so it makes sense. That being said, enough is different that this movie is still just as fun to watch. It's also a bit more grounded in reality which was nice. Honestly I hope there's a sequel.

John Wick? Seemed more like “Falling Down” to me.
