I got a pretty new tv, but even when changing light modes, when its dark in any scene, it's almost impossible to see anything.

What TV?

OLED is the new standard for a Quality TV and the dark scenes are created for that.

The first season of House of the Dragon was dark and blurry, this show is perfect. The picture quality is as good as it gets on a 3000:1 contrast ratio 24 bit display.
