So are harfoots black hobbits?

Why do woke leftists feel the need to pander to us minorities? Disclaimer, I’m a black guy. We never asked this. We were happy watching an all white universe. Like, if I watch k-drama I know im getting an all Asian cast and ok with that. That’s what I came for.

"if I watch k-drama I know im getting an all Asian cast and ok with that"

That's the exact example I always give. I don't need to see me in something to enjoy it.

No. Harfoots are sort of proto-Hobbits because the show's creators have no actual creativity and cannot imagine any adaptation of Tolkien's work without Hobbits.
Some of them are illogically diverse because these people seem to think that DEI is what makes art good.

Wait till you actually watch the show. There is a black elf who has a white human for a love interest. different race and species too.

Yeah, a white guy here. When I watched "Coming to America" then I never thought I watch an all black cast movie. I watched an Eddie Murphy movie. Or when I watched Cosby Show (before he turned out to be a monster) then I watched a funny sitcom.

Adding black hobbits and black elves creates another problem though. What happened to them later? Because in Peter Jackson movies there were no black hobbits nor black elves. Was there a holocaust? So, even a minor change to the source material creates huge problems. Better not to change anything.

There were no black hobbits in Middle-Earth. The Harfoots were just a variation on the regular hobbits, according to Tolkien's lore. The only difference between Harfoots and other Hobbits were that they had even hairier feet than regular hobbits. That's it.

It should be noted that there were no civilized hobbits as we knew them during the Second Age of Middle-Earth. At that time in Middle-Earth's history, (according to what my brother told me) they were nothing but butt-scratching cave-dwelling creatures with no name, who did not do nomadic farming of any kind. They hadn't even learned how to farm yet!

The "harfoots" of this monstrosity of a show were made up by the two idiots who originally came up with this dumpster fire of a show.

It seems even weirder with the elves. They were always described as super fair of skin. Even the ones known as dark elves were pale but called dark elves because their character or actions or whatever.

I think the problem is that the ethnic groupings are mixed and they're not in ports or established cities between crossroads (which could explain a mixed group). It would've worked better if they made the harfoots like Romani gypsies ethnically instead of mixing them up with Irish, black, Indian, and East Asian people all within 1 small tribe. Small tribes tend to be more ethnically homogenous, this is not NY city. Same with other groupings here.
