I certainly am NOT.
But plenty of Butthurt Yanks are crying a losing battle.
The hate campaign has been whipped up by 'anti-woke' e-personalities. It's like a cult. The clowns also tried it with Prey (2022). The blatantly racist and sexist rhetorics that movie got thrown it's way was insane. So much hatred because it featured an Native American Woman as a protagonist.
There's now a new conspiracy called 'fan baiting'. Peculiar echo chamber of hate.
I'm enjoying the show and looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
Saskia, the main problem is bad writing, badly-written characters and poor production values and YET, because they include diverse casting, then any criticisms we make about the poor quality of the production itself, they think that we don't like the casting decisions. It's nothing to do with that. Haven't you personally noticed the POOR WRITING of TV shows and movies in the last six years?
What was the hate campaign against "Prey"? Can you give details? I don't see what the problem is with that. I haven't heard anyone else moaning about it.
The casting is fucking terrible regardless of skin colour.

He looks like they stuck rubber ears on someone they found watching a football match in the North of England.
People didn't like the lead character from Prey because she faced almost no real challenges, beat up the males of her tribe, wanted to be a hunter just because the patriarchy said she couldn't, and was just better than everyone including a 7 foot monster from space without any real journey.
In short because it wasn't very well written. I didn't hate the movie, I'd give it a 6.5 and although I didn't hate the main character those things were obvious to me.
