I have seen enough to know that I won't be watching this

I enjoyed episode one of House of the Dragon though.

Anyone else not going to bother with this?

reply

It's a cash grab. Amazon are going to fuck it up like Disney did to Star Wars

reply

PEOPLE WHO SAY CASH GRAB ARE NOT VERY WELL EDUCATED OR INFORMED.

reply

This coming from someone who doesn't know where the 'caps lock' button is.

reply

SEE?...WHAT DID I TELL YOU?...YOU ARE THE 33RD INVERTED SCROTUM TO THROW THAT WITTY REPLY MY WAY...I obviously KNOW WHERE THE button IS...BASED MOSTLY ON THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN HITTING IT FOR 20 YEARS...I'M A CUTIE...YOU KNOW IT.😘

reply

Oh dear. I pressed your 'triggered' button.

reply

OH DRAT...I WAS HOPING YOUR "CASH GRAB" WAS A ONE OFF...PERHAPS YOU WOULD BE COOL ...MAYBE EVEN THROW A WITTY REPLY MY WAY...WHO KNOWS?...WE COULD HAVE BEEN BUDS AND DISAGREED ON NUMEROUS THREADS...BUT THEN YOU WENT AND DID IT...YOU SAID "TRIGGERED"...I AM NOT ANGRY...I AM JUST DISAPPOINTED.

reply

I'm apathetic.

reply

I'll watch the first episode at least, out of morbid curiosity.

reply

I enjoyed episode one of House of the Dragon too, I'll give this show a miss but will most likely watch a few YouTube reviews for the laughs.

reply

At least House of the Dragon is working from the original author's story.

reply

Episode one felt like a decent episode of Game of Thrones.

reply

I'll give it a shot since I already pay for Prime.

reply

They are so desperate to get people to watch this that a movie chain is offering a free viewing of the first two episodes, PLUS a $10 food /concession voucher. So they are actually paying people to watch it at a theater, (or hoping you will spend more than $10 out of pocket for food/drinks.)

reply

They'll get plenty of people who show up just because it's free. Then Amazon will show the packed theaters in their advertising.

reply

Thought the same thing. Aside from one thing that i won’t mention, House of the Dragon wasn’t too woke and can’t wait to see more.

Rings of Woke can eat crap.

reply

On September 2nd, my dad and brother and I are gonna get out our Extended Edition DVD's and spend the next 6 nights watching Peter Jackson's films. We've already watched "The Hobbit" trilogy recently, so we're ready for the main movies :)

reply

Hopefully others will follow your example.

reply

You watched the Hobbit trilogy? They are over-bloated woke shite.

The Maple Films edit of The Hobbit is the only way to see The Hobbit as Tolkien intended.

reply

The Maple edit isn't even the most faithful to the book, the M4 edit is.

reply

Not heard of that one before.

reply

Much as we all enjoyed the first three LOTR flicks, they were also made in a world that was pre-Game Of Thrones and The Witcher. Every cinematic attempt to milk a few more pennies out of Tolkien's work is inevitably going to leave the vast majority of people saying to themselves "This is nice, but it's also pretty milquetoast. There's other games in town now, and they feature titties and blood'n'guts, along with dragons."
