Imagine you buy some tickets and actually give them to friends (which most people might intend to do but don't actually do) If those friends were going to make the time to see the movie, buying their ticket to see it at a certain time isn't going to work and isn't a motivation to go. Telling them they should see it is more of a motivation than inconveniencing them with having to go see it at a certain time. All that money is going to the film producers. It sounds exactly like what it is, a money grab. Instead of actually supporting the groups that will END this shit.
