Why is the call to action to buy more tickets?

Instead of calling for people to donate to causes that actually DO something to end child trafficking? That shit makes me angry, If you really wanted to change the situation, donate to the National Human Trafficking Prevention effort or one of the other groups. What good is the message without a solution?!

reply

Some of the proceeds are going to charity, but the point of the movie is to spread awareness, if people were aware, they would likely already be donating.

reply

I see what you are saying but spreading awareness is one thing, telling you to buy tickets at the end of the movie is something else entirely. Someone buying more tickets isn't spreading the message. Imagine you buy some tickets and actually give them to friends (which most people might intend to do but don't actually do) If those friends were going to make the time to see the movie, buying their ticket to see it at a certain time isn't going to work and isn't a motivation to go. Telling them they should see it is more of a motivation than inconveniencing them with having to go see it at a certain time. All that money is going to the film producers. It sounds exactly like what it is, a money grab. Instead of actually supporting the groups that will END this shit.

reply

Um, telling someone to purchase more tickets to see this movie is in fact spreading awareness and in the end, if the Left would've come up with a movie like this, you all would've been beating your chests over it's true..

reply

Its all about how you choose to use your audience and I believe that it's a missed opportunity and it feels disingenuous. I don't know why everyone replying to me is acting as though I said something political. I didn't, I know that you want to bash the left every chance you get but give it a rest.

reply

Everyone is replying to you as if you said something political because you're known as a left wing political shill who has been outed as defending and enabling children being at drag shows in the past, so no one believes the ridiculous psuedosmears you come up with to try and stop people watching this movie, groomer.

reply

I could not find anything that says the production company, distribution company or theaters are donating any of their proceeds to charities devoted to stopping human trafficking. What information do you have?

The call to buy more tickets at the end of the film is just a marketing ploy in my opinion.

reply

I looked as well before posting and couldn't find anything.

reply

Bump

reply

as I was going to pay for my ticket for the movie at the theater, ii got in for free due to some Pay it Forward thing going on where the ticket seller was yakkin away that someone else bought up the tickets so the rest of the people that came for Sound of Freedom they would get in to see Sound of Freedom for free which was nice.

But its a weird stunt/gimmick to do that for a movie like Sound of Freedom

reply

Yup, and it hasn't helped the situation one bit. If they forwarded that money to Unicef at least it would be doing some good, but it was just a gimmick to fill their pockets like televangelists.

reply

what situation? What the hell you talking about?

I dont know what the frik frak is going on such as the supposed "controversy" with the movie.

Im just saying i was surprised that i didnt have to pay to see the movie. Im surprised the movie was free anyone who wanted to get a ticket to see the movie. Nice of the movie theater to do a nice thing like that but them or maybe Jim Caviezel himself doing the whole pay it forward being nice to the next people who want to see the movie blah blah blah.

reply

It hasn't helped fight child trafficking.

reply

Oh no we had better tell people not to watch it then, actually no we shouldn't and no amount of spin from you to put people off of watching it will work.

reply

So what have you done to combat child trafficking? I’m sure not much considering you think it’s a “QAnon Conspiracy Theory”. At least Tim Ballard has done something with his life.

reply

If this film gave me the names of some way to help child trafficking I'd be able to help. That's a damn site better than making this film and instead of informing people of a solution they con you into giving them more money by making you think your helping a cause when you aren't.

reply

We paid our money to see the film, no one conned anyone.

And here you go: https://ourrescue.org/sound-of-freedom?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwloynBhBbEiwAGY25dM_HJaxNVyVUI4bM4Nxn_EMX1X2XpUh8c8TPuIzou1uwKHrHfyqBrxoCdQMQAvD_BwE

They are taking donations to help stop child sex trafficking. I bet that’s more than you’ve ever done.

Also what do you know, they are even upfront about the stuff that was embellished for dramatic purposes. I don’t think anyone truly believes that Tim Ballard went on a Rogue Commando mission into the jungles of South America.

reply

You don't seem to understand what I have a problem with.

reply

Trust me little man, you aren’t that hard to figure out.

reply

Truth.

reply

I doubt these groomers have even seen the film, they are just hating on it because the far left fake news media told them to. I still have yet to see one single “complaint” that has anything to do with the film itself, it all has to do with the people making it and in that case its pretty disturbing that they aren’t attacking The Flash with the same enthusiasm.

reply

And they definitely hate when you shine a light on their degeneracy and enabling of degeneracy, look at how RockAway acted when you called out the obvious bullshit.

reply

RockAway is just a clown, he’s a blind and loyal servant to the far left base and is obviously too stupid to think for himself. The far left fake news media told him to hate Sound of Freedom so he obeyed. The problem with these people is they live in a very sheltered and privileged bubble where no one has ever called them out on their nonsense, they’ve always been told that everything’s going to be alright and that Mommy is going to protect them from hearing opinions they disagree with. That’s why they throw such a fit when they are faced with inconvenient truths.

reply

75% of the donations to Operation Underground Railroad are pocketed by the "charity". It's a scam.

And Tim Ballard has left the organization.

reply

So then why hasn’t the website been shut down? You know you people love shutting down platforms that dont’ allign with your radical ideology and since it’s so obvious it’s a scam you’d think someone would have done something about it. Nice try, groomer.

reply

^ ^ ^
Obvious QAnon.

reply

I think your definition of QAnon is “anything that you don’t agree with”.

reply

Sound of Freedom director says Jim Caviezel’s QAnon comments ‘hurt my work’

Alejandro Monteverde speaks out about film’s origins, saying seeing it linked to pedophile conspiracy theory has been ‘heartbreaking’

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/aug/15/sound-of-freedom-director-alejandro-monteverde-jim-caviezel-qanon-comments

reply

Totally irrelevant, Jim Caveizel’s “QAnon” views were not a part of the film nor was it even a thing when it was filmed. Again you’re complaining about things off camera and you’ve not even seen the film, groomer.

reply

Sure thing. Mysterious how everyone involved with "Angel Studios" and this movie are QAnon, but this movie has nothing to do with QAnon.🤣

reply

Show me one line or scene from the film that addresses QAnon? I guess by your logic anything made by the vast majority of Hollywood is pro-BLM considering I’m sure most people in Hollywood support those racist, violent insurrectionist terrorists.

reply

I have nothing against the content of the movie.

But it's being used to promote a QAnon cover charity, Operation Underground Railroad, which is stealing 75% of the donations.

The other 25% is being used to set up stings in third world countries so Americans on vacation can play cop.

These people are doing nothing to stop child trafficking.

reply

You have a problem with Operation Underground Railroad then which BTW I am sure is far left fake news disinformation. You are on the wrong forum, this forum is for discussing Sound of Freedom, not Operation Underground Railroad. Again your issues are 100% with what happened behind the camera. Hell you haven’t even seen it.

They made the film, they spread the message that child sex trafficking is bad, at the very least that may not be much but it’s sure more than you people ever did. You people love child sex trafficking.

You’ve not even seen it, fake news CNN just told you to hate it so you obeyed like the mindless puppet you are.

reply

That website says that none of the film proceeds are going to Operation Underground Railroad. You can donate to O.U.R. though.

We hope everyone can experience this powerful movie. While none of the proceeds from “Sound of Freedom” go to O.U.R., you can still make a difference.

reply

The website directs the viewer to how they can make a difference. If it weren’t for the film then fewer people would have visited the website. You seem very triggered by this film, you need to calm down, take a deep breath and accept the fact that you are literally on the side of child traffickers and you are a disturbed individual.

reply

Saying that people can donate to O.U.R makes me a triggered and disturbed individual who is on the side of traffickers?

I think your accusation is actually a confession.

reply

The guy is a complete wacko.

reply

No you’re obviously triggered because you people are going to great lengths to slander and discredit a film that has a very simple and straight forward message that any decent human being should be able to get behind, unfortunately you people are not decent and I think you barely qualify as human.

reply

Also geez, you’d think the people working on the film would want people to go see it, I guess it’s just another “QAnon Conspiracy Theory”

reply

I've never said anything about QAnon, I don't even know anything about that. Of course people working on the film want you to see it, the people working on any film want you to see their film, what every film DOESN'T do, is tell you that something is a true story and instead of ending with a way to support organizations that will HELP children, what does it do? Asks you to buy more tickets. It's fuckin' shameful using trafficking victims as a way to make more money for a movie.

I have been going to third world countries as a Unicef ambassador since I was in high school specifically helping to bring clean water to villages. I don't say that like I'm some sort of hero because I do it, I get WAY more out of volunteering than I give, but I say it as a person who DOES get involved. It really bothers me that they chose to do something so SHIFTY with the opportunity to do something helpful. If they want to spread the message, spread the message with a SOLUTION not a cash grab.

reply

Except the tagline said it was BASED on a true story. You are strawmanning, the film never said it was 100% true. The stuff that happens to the children in the story does indeed happen to children in real life yet you people seem to want to discredit a film that informs people of the horrors of child sex trafficking and yes people from your side have said that the film is promoting QAnon conspiracy theories which means you think child sex trafficking is a QAnon Conspiracy Theory. There is no reason to be against this film unless you are a child molester.

Good for you, I’m glad you’re getting your virtue points out of your “UNICEF Ambassador work”, although for someone who claims to be spending so much time in 3rd world countries you sure are on here a lot. The film wasn’t a cash grab it was made to tell a story and bring awareness to what many children are experiencing in the world today. The fact that you people are triggered so badly by it is sick and disturbing.

reply

Oh here we go. I'm sick and disturbed because I wanted them to tell the audience ways that they could actually help or promote ANY charitable organizations instead of asking people to buy more tickets.

What a clown.

reply

You can tell the audience to help or promote charitable organizations without smearing the film. You can walk and chew gum at the same time, groomer.

Face it, you people don’t like the movie because it was made by people you disagree with and because it puts a huge hole in your pro-child grooming fetish.

reply

I didn't say that I didn't like the movie. Do you know how to read?

reply

So you do like the movie? Have you even seen it? You’re also deflecting, you said that you wanted them to tell the audience how they could help. You literally could tell people how they can help without throwing a bitch fit over the film, groomer. Even if the people behind the film did nothing to help the victims of child sex abuse by making the film they have already done far more than anything you or anyone else from your political party ever did.

reply

Fuck off. I liked the movie that's why the call to action irritated me so much. You are a complete imbecile and I'd be an even bigger idiot than you are to continue conversing with you. Thanks for wasting my time.

reply

I have doubts you’ve even seen it, groomer. Your pathetic attempt at flaming me out is proof you don’t have anything intelligent to contribute.

reply

lol oh dear the groomer is getting upset that they've been accurately identified and described

:^)

reply

Hahaha. He's one of the reasons I won't be giving any money to these scam artists.

reply

Truly deranged, no matter what the topic is, they call people that don't agree with them pedos. It's so low.

reply

That's the real problem with this movie. It's raising money for people who do nothing to actually combat trafficking.

reply

It makes me angry. This is just like funding televangelists.

reply

They made a film, and they made money from their film. Just like how Disney made 2 billion dollars from rehashing Star Wars: A New Hope

Gotta love your flawed logic: If a someone says “child sex abuse is bad” but they don’t do enough to combat the issue by your standards then they should just be quiet and stop saying “child sex abuse is bad”, all in the meanwhile you won’t even say “child sex abuse is bad”. If you’re not going to do anything to solve the problem then quit complaining that others aren’t doing enough, it’s sick.

reply

Put your money where your mouth is, on my dick.

reply

Sorry I’m just not that into you. I’m over the age of 10, so I’m probably way too old for you anyways

reply

Talking about 10-year-olds turns you on, huh?

reply

LOL, that’s not what I said, not only are you a groomer, but you’re a stupid groomer.

reply

Yes, I'm very well groomed, you dirty pig. What, you never groom yourself? Take a fucking bath.🤣

reply

Still not what I said, my assertion that you are a stupid groomer still stands. The fact that you are so triggered by this film is making more and more sense the more you post.

reply

Oh look another left wing TDSer denigrating this movie what a coincidence.
