The End?
Will there be a followup? Or is it just this one self-contained movie?
shareWe'll probably now get a movie on what made Batman Batman, then a movie where Joker and Batman collide.
shareThat's funny!
Uhhhhh, no.
Wouldn't be a bad idea but I think Joker should stay separated from Batman. I'd like to see a solid trilogy and MAYBE they end with a Batman set up.
shareHow about make more movies like this but for other Batman's villains? I think that would be cool. An unconnected series of some sort.
Of course, the characters chosen must be in the more realistic side of Gotham's rogues gallery like The Riddler, for example, and not the obviously fantastical ones like Mr.Freeze or Killer Croc. That would be silly.
"That would be silly."
The whole damned genre is silly. I used to like this stuff, then I turned fourteen.

Otis Flannegan/Ratcatcher.
After all on the TV News they were talking about giant rats in Gotham, so they could even have Otis in a film that is actually set in the exact same time period as Joker. So while Joker is going through his stuff so is Otis, in Joker there was scene while he was in the phone booth of a giant rat running by, so in Ratcatcher you could see that same scene from a distance but from say Otis's perspective. Could even really play with what was going on, for instance when Joker sees everyone out protesting, Otis sees some people protesting while a mass of others are fleeing buildings, the subway or whatever into the streets because of giant rats.
Of course Ratcatcher is going to be in Suicide Squad so unlikely at this time, however still a film running at a concurrent time as Joker like that would be interesting. It's not like in real life there aren't say several gangs or things going on all at once, so not out of the realms of possibility Ratcatcher and Joker could be coming to be at the exact same time.
Joker was also in the Suicide Squad movie, yet this movie happened... As long as they were portrayed differently and cast different actors to play I'm okay with that.
shareYeah however 3 years ago so I doubt they'd do it at a similar time, hence the unlikley at this time bit, even if they did a quick turn around on filming you'd be looking at both out in 2021.
shareWhat about a same movie just without any superhero od villain connection?
...but oh, then nobody would go into theaters, right?
If only it was the end. If only the comic book movie fad would die.
