Forever downunder

Season 1 is quite similar to Forever..

He's a pathologist who is a genius at solving crimes, and is hiding a secret or two.
He's in cahoots with a tough female cop.
He has a quirky assistant.
He's mates with an old man who hides his secrets.

I don't suppose you know where we can see it in the US?

reply

No sorry. I'm in the UK.

OK. Thanks

Finally found it.
I've seen two episodes so far. It is exactly what you describe so far. So answer me this, How come this formula works in Australia but they couldn't make it work in the USA?

Low ratings in the desired demographic apparently. It was popular but not with the right people!

I've just seen a forum comment that Forever Knight is a similar show.

I think one of the contributing factors to it's demise was that it was put against one of the top rated shows "Person of Interest". I wonder if it would have made of difference if they had known that POI was going to end the very next season?

My thoughts exactly

I loved Forever. Liked it more than Harrow as a matter of fact. The formula is everywhere. The genders and occupations get switched around but tons of the hit shows out there are this template.

What the hell is this show i've never heard of before?

It's an Australian procedural about an eccentric medical examiner who solves murders. Aside from the murder of the week set up each season has a season long mystery arc. I usually don't get into procedural's much but i like the characters here.
