Will We Ever See a Flashback of the Moment Kreese Turns Bad

I wish we could see that. In Star Wars you see Anakin's gradual decline and the moment he turns to the dark side, yet with Kreese you pretty much mostly see him being a good guy when he was younger and him being a bad guy now. I wish they would show where he truly crossed over, and what finally pushed him.

They showed in the earlier seasons.

The turning point was him having to fight his commanding officer to the death when they were prisoners of war in Vietnam, it was him who taught him "no mercy".

I guess that moment to me was like Anakin when he slaughtered the sandpeople. It was foreshadowing, but I did not see him fully going over there. Subsequent to him killing his commander, he shows concern for his new student Johnny, and is protective of his masters granddaughter.

I think it was on Reddit someone pointed because the flashbacks are from Kreese point of view, rather than someone else, he's going to see himself as more reasonable than he actually was.

I never thought of that but it actually makes a lot of sense. I guess it's like when Johnny tells Miguel his version of The Karate Kid.

I don't think they're flashbacks are from Kreese's memory. When we se memory flashbacks, like we've seen with Johnny and Daniel, we have also been treated to cuts to their faces in present day, showing us that they are thinking about those past events. With Kreese, however, it's more a fleshing out of his character - and there are one or two moments of flashbacks taking place with Kreese being momentarily absent, which he couldn't possibly remember.

reply

Kreese was never a jedi nor does he have force powers, so it isn't fair to compare Kreese to Anakin
