In this climate, I'm surprised that they're still moving forward with this movie.

Not to mention Tarantino's scumbag personality coming to light in recent months.

One reason: it's Tarantino. It's the name. Producers don't care as long as it can sell and he hasn't been criticized widely, only Uma Thurman.

The proof: I already have my ticket! And I never buy tickets in advance.

Good luck. I hear it's well over 2 1/2 hours.

With Tarantino's movies, this is what I always wish for. The longest his movies are, the longer I can enjoy what I see.

He and Martin Scorsese are my favourite filmmakers, it's my personal cinematic treasure. So I will never complain about the duration of one of their movies... putting Death Proof and Hugo aside.

I loved Hugo !

I love Death Proof.

And one I'm totally unfamiliar with. I think every Martin Sc film should be seen at least once. Hard to imagine at the very least not being impressed with the quality. I'm not sure I really like Gangs of NY or The Departed, but they are very polished and interesting movies. He's got a little more flair than Eastwood at least. Not knocking Clint, but his movies are very well-made but workman like. I hear CE has a reputation for working briefly and coming in under budget.
