In this climate, I'm surprised that they're still moving forward with this movie.
Not to mention Tarantino's scumbag personality coming to light in recent months.
shareNot to mention Tarantino's scumbag personality coming to light in recent months.
shareIf anything (I could say to this guy was where...) this is the perfect climate to be bringing it out and particularly with the cast they have.
The old gods are obviously dead or dying and those who replaced them are being killed for their lack of empathy for the new world.
It's glo-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohohohoh-ohohohoh-orious Hosanna in excelsis!
Controversy sells
shareThe only scum bag personality is the people ripping apart someone they don’t even know. You. You are a scum bag.
You realize when you try to admonish someone else for being what you perceive to be wrong by calling them a scum bag (sic), you yourself end up being wrong for resorting to ad hominem, yes?
shareMovie looks sick.
sharemaybe it is the right time for he to be finished once and for all, seriously his films have aged so badly and are so wrong, him using the n word every 5 minutes, one wonders how he got away with it for so long. I no longer have hope for modern cinema nor do I subscribe to presentism metoo hysteria, but the silver lining is for all these charlatans that have dominated the scene for way too long to finally disappear.
share"his films have aged so badly..."
are you serious? Jackie Brown is as fresh as ever
exactly, like no his films have aged amazingly well. watch reservoir dogs everyday of the week and it's still fresh as anything, as well as pulp fiction, jackie brown, every film.
sharei think so, there is a sense of "cool" in all his films. plus the soundtrack is always bomb and to be honest the dialogue is on point. lots of character hints in every line : )
shareYou have to be the biggest pussy on this forum. Jesus.
shareWow nice job being objective libtard. You’re a piece of filth, absolute Scumbag.
shareWhat climate?
and what scumbag revelations?
Uma Thurman said that Tarantino had an unsafe environment when they filmed Kill Bill vol. 2. He forced her to to do a driving stunt that she didn't want to do and she crashed. She had permanent injuries. It's been confirmed because Tarantino said he regrets putting her in that position.
shareOne bad error in judgement makes someone a scumbag? You must have perfect aim to be throwing rocks around your glass house like that.
shareHe is responsible for permanent injuries for an actress by forcing her to perform a stunt that she wasn't comfortable doing and he didn't even apologize after it happened. He was in a position of power. Everyone knows on a set that safety come first.
He also defended Roman Polanski by saying that the victim wanted it and that is shouldn't be classified as rape.
Busy Philipps said she regretted auditioning for him because he was a creep who wanted her to audio in flip flops and short shorts.
Rose McGowan said Tarantino told her that he masturbated to her barefoot scene in "Jawbreaker".
When speaking about the allegations against Harvey Weinstein, Tarantino said: "I knew enough to do more than I did."
Let's not forget about the amount of plagiarism in his films.
Also if you were paying attention to the post, you would see the word "revelations". It just came out at the time of this thread.
The Roman Polanski thing is the only thing you mention that even remotely seems offensive, and that was a comment he made, not an action. I don't believe anything Rose says, and Uma is a big girl who could have said no to something she was uncomfortable with. Don't feed me this "position of power" shit. Most of us have bosses, and we would feel right telling them something seemed unsafe. Bitching in hindsight is just that, bitching. It's obvious you don't like him, which doesn't make him a scumbag, you just don't like his personality. I'm sure some people don't like you, but I'll assume you don't consider yourself a scumbag.
shareReally? You don't have a problem with Tarantino knowing about Weinstein's actions and doing nothing about it?
You're okay with his blatant plagiarism? You don't believe a guy with a foot fetish would tell a girl that he jerked off to her feet just because you don't believe her for some reason?
Tarantino lied about how safe the car was and she was skeptical. Tarantino even withheld the footage of the car accident unless she signed a document that said she wasn't going to sue. If he did nothing wrong, why not give her the footage of when she asked for it? (Funny how you left that part out) She didn't sign it and he finally gave it to her with an apology after 15 years during the Me Too movement. She was also given the footage after she stated months earlier that she was going to reveal some Hollywood stuff. I guess he got scared and apologized in advance.
How about him freaking out on paparazzi just for filming him walking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxYHxJahzmU
And who cares if they're comments and not actions? If someone goes around calling gay people "fags", black people the "N-word", disabled people "gimps", you're a scumbag. You sound like one of those people that says offensive things and then when they're called out, says "it was just a joke", without realizing how offensive it was.
You are reaching so far on most of these, I'm not even taking you seriously at this point. Saying "I knew enough..." could mean anything, like overheard rumors. It's far from a confession of full knowledge of all of his actions. I already addressed the others. I get it, you don't like him, even though you don't actually personally know him, still doesn't make him a scumbag. Guess what? I don't like you, does that make you a scumbag?
shareHe said he knew enough to do something, which means he could have done something about it but didn't. You keep making excuses for him.
The car accident: "Uma could have said 'no' and he apologized 15 years later anyway."
Rose McGowan: "I don't trust her".
Calling out Polanski's rape victim: "who cares? Those are just words."
Busy Phillips accusations: "No comment."
Plagiarism: "No comment."
Paparazzi incident" "No comment".
And again, if you were following along, you would know I never called him a scumbag. The user asked which revelations came out, and I told him about the recent stories.
FYI, Quinton was SO sorry about the injury from the stunt, that he was the one that gave Uma the footage so that it could be exposed and keep something like this from happening again. This is her quote from her Instagram page, just in case facts matter.
"Quentin Tarantino, was deeply regretful and remains remorseful about this sorry event, and gave me the footage years later so i could expose it and let it see the light of day"
I wonder how many of your other "facts" are completely incorrect?
"Let's not forget about the amount of plagiarism in his films."
Even though I am aware of everything you mentioned and simply don't give a flying fuck about him as a person because his movies are too amazing and I won't stop myself from watching them, this here is a pointless complaint. I see how someone can be pissed at him for your other points, but this, he is totally honest about it. Even though he does "plagiarism", he brings it with his own personal touch.
Whatever he is a scumbag or not, I highly believe that we should be able to appreciate art for what it is despite the person behind it. But well, this was said so many times by so many people that I know there is no way to convince stubborn people like you.
The guy has talent. He can be an asshole. You can not like him as a person. But talent, he had it. Deal with it.
I didn't say he wasn't talented. He's done some of my favourite movies. I just don't like how he tries to pass certain aspects of his movies off as his own especially how he has a big ego. Him being a jerk won't make me stop watching his movies, it just makes me hate him as a person.
shareHis scumbag personality was apparent since the 90's. There is a red carpet interview with him where he actually spits on the interviewer.
