Is there a point to the Amazonian women tournament flashback?

Is there some kid of message to tell us something about Diana or something involving the whole Amazon tournament flashback when she was a little girl?

Nah. Cheetah appears WAY later. Your first clue (of many) is the trailer(s) introducing Barbara *before* she becomes Cheetah. . .they meet as adults.

From hearing there was a thing that happened in the race that was to be a lesson to Diana to live by. The movie evolves around that lesson.

She learns that "the truth" is not bendable and she is not allowed to take shortcuts or some crap like that.
