Amazon wants $20 for a rental

Ummm, no

I wonder how much they are hurting themselves with this. I could see up to like 12-13 dollars at most. I know they are trying to make up for theater losses but more reasonable rentals would probably get more buys. Once you hit the $20 mark I start expecting to own it, not just rent it.

why is it on amazon now anyway? in november i read netflix had bought the rights.

reply

Seriously? I'll wait til it comes out on bluray and rent it for 3 bucks.

reply

I just double checked and yes on Amazon

reply

Ahahaha what? 20!? I guess Jeff can go fuck himself...

When prices reach that point, you go shopping at the torrent store. I understand their desire to reduce the dent covid-19 has made in their profits but let's face it - the movie industry is doing okay and will survive, unlike too many small businesses. By the end of the summer (maybe sooner) theaters will be back near full attendance again. They can afford to be more reasonable with their rentals.

Your antics have been logged. Have a nice day!

Pretty steep for a movie that bombed in theaters. I know, COVID, but Wonder Woman was able to make over 140 million in the same timeframe, so why couldn't a movie starring the legendary Thomas Hanks crack 10 million when there was virtually no competition?

reply

Is this your first time, honey? That's the regular price.

reply

I can't think of a movie that I would pay even $5 to rent.

It's a Netflix movie so free for subscribers to Netflix. So get Netflix, I guess. Did I mention it's available on Netflix? That's Netflix if you missed it. 😉
