Pretty poor revival

I thought some of the original MST3k commentary over were great but several were meh and couple just duds.

Overall it was a unique and funny concept and it was entertaining.

With the 2017 remake, I had high hopes. But the new remake is actually pretty bad imo. They are trying way too hard, the jokes are annoying and fall flat most of the times and some of the movies being made fun of are actually entertaining to the point where I wanted them to shut the hell up and allow me to watch the actual movie.

Overall, except for parts of The Land that Time Forgot, rest were all too irksome. They were clearly looking to win you over with too many forced attempts and way too much exposition. I was going "stfu for some time please instead of a constant stream of jokes so at least one hits".

Pretty poor revival imo.

The major drawback for me was Jonah Ray. He came off as someone merely delivering the lines as written as opposed to substantially contributing to the lines he was delivering. Most of the stuff he said did not come off as authentic.

Let's not pretend the original didn't have a lot of duds. I'm giving this a chance.

The Netflix version of MST3K is now dead, the "woke" social justice warriors in charge of the revival pretty much guaranteed it would be DOA from the start.

The episodes were not woke and were funny. My only complaint is how they changed the Gypsy robot.
