Police would certainly be involved and they would interogate and check the ID cards of the party attendace. Obviously they should discover that the Kims were not what they pretend to be.

shareYeah I think the ending of this movie is kinda weak and rather rushed. The movie changed genre abruptly from family comedy into slasher mode and then the end. I was like huh?!
shareI think it was going for big impact there and it was kind of darkly comic in a way but ultimately it didn't "wow" me like some other Korean films with big twists like The Handmaiden or Oldboy. It's a surprisingly weak film for all the praise it had been getting all year.
shareI’ve watched some Korean movies like this where it switches the mood midway. I guess having experience with their style, I expected the genre shift and it didn’t faze me at all. There are a lot of great Korean movies. I’ve been wondering why this stood out from the rest enough to get the Oscar nominations, but compared to the movies that came out this year, this is a frontrunner for me.
