It feels like the same kind of superhero show you'd see on Cartoon Network in the late 90's/2000's, but with gore and swearing. I swear people are too easily amused these days.

I'm really trying to like it. I like the violence. I like the conspiracy parts so much.

However, the whole "teenagers in high school struggles" drags me down big time and takes all the momentum out of the show.

It's like you're driving along in fifth gear with some mystery and then Mark goes on a date and the car shifts instantly to first gear and stays there for twenty minutes.

High school settings have overstayed their welcome imo. I d rather see more shows about characters in their early 20s. Show is pretty good

*shrug* i've had to hear about this comic for years and now I have to hear bout the show. I don't get it. It must be some private emotions for millennials or something.

You are just seeing the introduction at this point, which does go through sone typical superhero tropes, but still has a lot of originality too. This series as an entirety is anything but typical, and only gets better as it goes.
