Was I the only one who found...

The backwards stuff really funny? Surely, these scenes weren't meant to evoke laughter? I was laughing at several points during the film.

Nolan was walking a tightrope here between comedy and action-thriller, and I'm not sure if he pulled it off.

I found it very funny too. The whole concept is so ridiculous. The first half just had me confused and disappointed, but the second time in Oslo it clicked for me, and then I was happy to see it play out. As it ended I laughed out of happiness at having seen something new and surprising, although I'm not sure it was good.

"Ridiculous" was the word I was using in my head while watching the whole thing.

Later in the film you can actually see in one of the scenes (from the awkward movement) that the extras were actually running backwards and the scene was shot and then reversed to show them running forwards and the smoke "billowing" backwards. The exact opposite of movie magic.

Yeah, the backwards thing was pretty ridiculous, to the point of sillyness.
