Was it at least as good as Rise of the Machines?
As in not great but at least entertaining (good mindless fun).

shareThe CGI de-aging effect is absolutely stunning, but I'd rank it just below T3. It's not terrible, though.
shareid say it was better than T3 ( no retard parodies) and kinda on par with Salvation.
shareoverall, i think they're equally entertaining. what i hated most about 'rise of the machines' was john connor - the casting of nick stahl and how the character was written. on the other hand, i prefer the terminatrix over the rev9, as well as the action scenes - nothing in 'dark fate' comes even close to the crane chase in t3. the big plus in 'dark fate' is indeed the casting - to have linda hamilton back. and arnold is very funny (even though his character doesn't make any sense).

This reviewer says it's worse than of the other sequels - so take it for what you will.
I'm not surprised though - they are trying to cram down the exact same story down our throats - which is one major sickness that hollywood has these days, lack of quality script/story writers. It's also why hollywood is full of remakes/reboots these days - they have no new ideas. Terminator is particularly sick with this disease, because other than salvation, every other sequel had the same story as the initial first 2 films.
And what's so freaking stupid is the obvious ending of the franchise should have been the humans winning the war, the first T-800 going through the time portal to 1984 and John sending Reese in after it. But no they completely screwed that up with these stupid sequels and reboots.
Since it seems Dark Fate isn't that good what happens next? Do they reboot the franchise again? (We'll make a good one this time I promise, LOL).
holy shit, great review .... share share it everywhere
shareT3 is awesome. This movie is crap.
shareThey really should have left it at Rise of the Machines. Two sequels is plenty, and anything beyond that tends to cheapen it all (e.g. Star Wars, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Saw, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Alien, Predator, Rocky) In most cases, the original is a classic, but will invariably devolve into a cringefest if the studios try to milk too much out of it.
shareAnother prime example: Jaws
shareT3 john Conner: stays off the grid so that no other machines can find him = smart
T6 john Conner: does not do anything and is found 1 year later by a machine = Dumb
So T3 is the true and better film
T3 actually did many things right, but also many things very poorly - which overall made it enjoyable for me, tbh, but not really a true Terminator sequel (again, for me).
Sadly, It's the best sequel so far (haven't seen Dark Fate yet).
T3 looks like a sci fi action masterpiece compared to this...it still had old school super alpha male power&energy ,a better structure ground breaking effects and epic ending.
Dark Fate has a very boring second act and ridiculous cartoon-ish over the top action scenes, extreme politicized woke lameness, bad acting by the new cast, rehashed premises &ideas and a blasphemous plot that kills John Connor JC=JESUS CHRIST of the Terminator saga.
NO JOHN CONNOR NO TERMINATOR JUST WOKE FAN FICTION ...
Like Christ, I fully expect John Connor to be resurrected. That is of course unless the film does so poorly that the franchise is finally euthanized.
Of course it really depends on them realizing how much they have pissed off the hardcore fans.
