shareOh dear oh dear, this turkey is well and truly cooked, WB are in a crisis.
shareNew numbers come Sunday / Monday. I think we will see 400 WW after this weekend.
shareThis hasn't aged very well. lol

Oh dear not good

Budget was $175m, total profits will be around $200m. Which isn't too bad for a unknown character.
I think the general rule of thumb is that a film needs to double its production budget to break even since there are additional costs.
shareI've seen some more recent estimates that say 2.5x or even 3x, depending on marketing, because so much more of the box office is coming from overseas, and the studios get much less of that than they do domestically.
shareI was using the Filmbuff theory, where you can make up numbers and percentages to fit your own agenda.

Why are people so happy about this flopping? I don't get it?
shareBecause its DC and MarvelTards are jealous when a DC movie makes money.
shareDC fan boys are by far the worst by a mile, not even up for discussion.

Pretty good for a unknown DC character. Will also make millions in rentals and DVD/Bluray sales. Made about the same profit as Flopkanda as well.
whatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt Black Adam an unknown DC character !!!! are you sure about that, and black panther wasnt? make millions off rentals and bluray sale? lol ok its on streaming services. Wakanda forever did make a profit, Black adam lost money.
shareNobody knew who Black Adam was until the movie was released. Flopkanda was just as bad really.
sharehmmm Wakanda forever - 7.2 IMDB, 84% rotten tomatoes - 840 million WW
Black Adam - 6.4 IMDB, 39% Rotten tomatoes - 392 million WW
Absolute nonsense that no one has heard of Black Adam, far more popular over the years than Black Panther, take the L.
Same profit as Wakanda, lol you are deluded
shareFlopkanda made less than the first one so its a flop. Black Adam was a successful movie for a unknown character.
shareYou are insane. Typical for a DC fan.
shareLol, so does that mean avatar 2 is a flop? Lol
shareUnfortunately no, Avatar made 2.9 billion and Avatar 2 made 2.2 billion. Thats not a flop if its over 2 billion.
Between 2 movies thats 5.1 billion.
But you just said wakanda forever is flop because it didnt make more or the same as the 1st movie? Black adam is well known and flop hard
shareIf Flopkanda made 2 billion then it wouldn't be considered a flop. It didn't even make a billion. Even Transformers 4 made a billion.
shareAnd black adam made 391 bow thats a flop, wakanda forver made 891 million and made good prodit
shareActually they made about the same profit. Black Adam had a lower margin than Flopkanda. These are the facts.
shareHaha what!!!!! Jesus christ you dc fans are absolutely deluded , black adam had a 200 million budget similar to wakanda, jesus u must be trolling
shareBudget was around $175m according to Deadline.
Total gross:
$393 million USD
Gross profit was around $200m and you add in streaming and rental sales and purchases. Black Adam did fairly well considering it was competing with other movies.
Lol you dc nerds need to understand how box office works lol funny to see, are u 13? Lol
shareNo marketing budget? No profit for then cinema lol go to sleep, you failed , thus aged terribly lol
shareIts not a great film!
shareI gave up after an hour. I’ve had more exciting bowel movements.
shareSo wanted a release in China. Every real comic book fan / super hero fan also want the DC movies to be successful. As enjoyable Black Adam was, they really should have made this 8 or 10 years ago, the movie did seemed a decade too late. Maybe it will do much better when it is available on the streaming platforms.

It ended up losing something like $115 million plus. Not shocking. I watched the first 15 minutes or so HBO Max and it proved unwatchable.
shareWhat did you expect? It's DCEU FFS!
