I heard Spider-man is going back to sony if Spider-Man: Far from Home doesn't make 1 billion.
I don't know if this is true or not.
but if Spider-Man goes back to sony then that mean another reboot.
We really don't know the behind the scenes terms of the deal with Sony. But Sony would be idiots to try to take Spiderman out of the MCU... to do what with him exactly? The ASM movies proved they don't know what to do with the property. This is a good deal all around... Sony was smart enough to make the deal with Marvel in the first place so I bet they'll be smart enough to stay with it.

far from home almost certainly will make a billion, so this is unlikely to come to pass.
presumably, if sony did take the character out of the mcu, they'd keep holland (or try to keep him - i'm not sure how many films he's signed up for) and carry on with the character as established.
Not likely, for a start the end credits scenes of Spider-Man still tie it to the MCU, its at $635million already, and its going to get close to a billion for sure.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 did $708million over its entire run, Far From Home is in its second week and nearly bested it already.
I think Sony/Amy Pascal would be monumentally stupid to screw around with Spider-Man now, leave it be in Marvels hands and reap the rewards.
I hope the day comes when the Columbia Pictures and Sony logos are no longer attached to a Spidey film. That won’t happen anytime soon, but... maybe one day. Sigh
But yeah, Far From Home will be in the billion dollar club. I, along with many others, felt certain about this after its first weekend at the box office. Though for argument’s sake let’s say it did fell short of a billion... I still believe the always-get-ahead-of-themselves Sony ultimately wouldn’t go through with this. Sure, you cannot underestimate Sony, but they know their partnership with Marvel & Disney has been paying off big time. Then again, it’s Sony. While THEY know that the success MCU Spidey has brought them couldn’t have happened without Marvel & Disney, at the end of the day they are known for letting success get to their heads. Ugh.
As far as I'm aware that's not true. I don't know if the contract was for Tom Holland or Sony or both, but there's a contract in place for three solo film's and three ensemble films.

He probably thinks it's because of the non MCU movies Sony is planning. Like Venom 2, Morbious, and Black Cat/Silver Sable. Sony may not keep the deal with Marvel and may eventually pull him out of the MCU if their next Venom movie is successful.
shareDepending on the contract they have with Marvel, they can't necessarily just pull him out of the MCU before his last movie or they'll be breaching the contract.
Despite how poorly it was received by critics, obviously a Spider-Man rogues universe seems to work fine without Spider-Man since Venom seemed to make so much money.
