"If you make powers illegal, that only hurts innocent people with powers."

Some of the pro-powers (ie, "illegal immigrants good" people) rhetoric in the movie is the same stuff that's used by pro-gun advocates like the NRA.

The movie also flatly condemns violence, even to overthrow or subvert "The System" just because it's not perfect. In other words, it's hard to watch this movie and see it as supporting BLM riots, for instance.

This film is more nuanced than you're giving it credit for.
