She's just part of the machine. Nobody cares what she thinks.

reply

As opposed to weak-ass bigot bitches whining about the color of a fictional mermaid.

We must ALL care what those pathetic losers think. LOL

reply

We know you're full of it. We know that if countless black characters were being replaced by white characters you'd have a problem with it. Your weak attempts to aggrevate people are pathetic.

reply

LOL. Whatever you gotta tell yourself, little bigot moron.

reply

You people were the ones who freaked out over Naomi Scott not being Arab, even though Agrabah isn’t even a real place. Get off your pedestal, we are just tired of the double standards.

reply

Just own your bigotry. You'll be happier. What do you think you're achieving by pretending not to be?

reply

So then the SJW crowd was bigoted when they threw a fit because Naomi Scott wasn’t the right skin color.

reply

Don't forget Scarlet Johanssen in Ghost in the Shell. No one complained about cultural approriation at all. They were completely silent in the subject lol.

reply

Don't forget the white actors in The Last Airbender, the SJW crowd shit their pants and accused Shyamalan of "white washing". Granted that movie was a piece of shit but that's beside the point.

reply

I'm afraid Jodie Benson has been part of the Hollywood establishment for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me if she became infected by their twisted ideologies. That, and people can "rent" her to come to their events. I guess she would say anything Disney wanted her to say if the price was right.

reply

Would you call her a whore to her face?

reply

No, he's an online little bitch

reply

That's nice. But Ariel is white and it's based on a story written by a Danish author. No amount of virtue signaling by the original actress will change that.

reply

I don’t care if this was just another adaptation of the story but it takes place in a different setting and the characters are different and have different names. People don’t want to see their favorite characters inverted and changed for the sake of inverting and changing them.

People hated seeing Maleficent turned into a good guy because she is a very iconic villain and she’s at the top of many peoples’ lists of favorite villains. It had nothing to do with sexism. This has nothing to do with racism - It is just another way to silence and guilt people who are not celebrating this movie’s release.

reply

Who are these "people" you are speaking of? A remake of a film is sometimes interesting because of the changes that are made.

Why does this make you feel guilty?

reply

I don’t know, Ranb. Maybe you should take a look in the mirror. You and your fellow leftist trolls.

And I never said it made me feel guilty.

reply

I'm not a leftist. I'm far more conservative than most of the GOP. But it is okay if you don't know.

You said people were guilted; your words, not mine. I think you are one of them.

reply

I said the racist label was a way to silence and guilt people who don’t agree with this. I didn’t say it worked on everybody.

All you leftists have is emotional blackmail.

reply

Why do you keep on saying I'm a leftist? Because I oppose racism?

reply

Because you are calling any criticism of this casting choice racist. Regardless of one’s reason for disagreeing with this. This is a textbook example of a leftist’s way of thinking. And you’re calling me racist because I don’t agree with it. You have also bought into the way of thinking that there are certain things a white person is not supposed to care about, which is another line of thinking that a leftist forces upon the public.

So I have no reason to believe you when you say you are not a leftist and that is what I’m going to keep calling you.

reply

I did not call you racist. I did say you sounded guilty and I also questioned the claims you made in this thread. That is not an accusation of racism.

You just decided that you don't like what I said, so you're playing the victim card by accusing me of calling you a racist in this thread when I in fact did not.

You try to insult me by saying I'm a leftist, but I don't identify as leftist or liberal, so your attempted insult falls flat.

You really suck at making insults and debating, you should try something else.

reply

“If Disney decides to listen to the minority highly vocal racist audience, they will lose.”

“I'm quite certain that Disney is not re-making this film for you or other people whose dick falls off at the sight of a black actress in a remake of a fantasy cartoon.“

“I think if Disney has a lesson to learn, it is to never ever to even consider pandering to a racist crowd.”

I have to assume you are including me in these statements, considering the way you were (and still are) misusing the word racism and that Disney is talking to people like me when they call us racist. When really we are just fans (or ex-fan in my case) who don’t like our favorite stories/characters remade or changed for the sake of changing them or for the sake of an agenda. (Also, it’s worth noting that we are not actually a minority but keep living in a fantasy world.)

reply

If you assume that I am talking about you when condemning racism, then you have a personal problem you need to deal with.

the original 1989 cartoon is still available for you to watch. You talk as though it has been replaced and you are under some obligation to view the latest version. Your being butt-hurt over this is not my problem.

reply

So not only do you freely use the word racism when you disagree with someone, but you’re also a gaslighter. Good to know.

It’s also hilarious how you think I’m “butt hurt” over this, since Disney already stopped getting my money a while ago.

reply

If you're going to be misled, disoriented or distressed over my posts, then you need to deal with it instead of playing the victim card. Don't blame me for you shortcomings.

If you're not giving any money to Disney to watch their films, then why is Disney living rent-free in your head?

reply

Because I was a lifelong Disney fan and they just lost my love and support a very short time ago. I mostly just came here to challenge people like you who are calling people racist because they don’t want Ariel made into a black woman when that’s not what she was originally. They’re sick of being called racists when they’re not, and I will stand up to people like you who do that. Disney can make all the black characters they want, the “racists” you speak of just want their favorite characters left out of it.

You’re just making me laugh at this point at how much of a Gaslighter you are. Thank you for the entertainment, it’s making my day.

reply

I AM ALSO A LIFELONG DISNEY FAN...YOU ARE A SCUMBAG...AT LEAST BE HONEST...YOU HAVE DEEP-SEATED ISSUES WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT WHITE.

YOUR REASON:
People don’t want to see their favorite characters inverted and changed for the sake of inverting and changing them.

THEY ARE NOT BEING CHANGED...THE LITTLE MERMAID IS WHAT IT IS...THE REMAKE IS A SEPERATE FILM.

reply

Huh, I had you on my ignore list for insulting me based on me liking a movie you didn't. I can see you also love to throw around the racist label like pieces of candy.

I have two words for you: Fuck off.

reply

YOU NEED TO TOUGHEN UP,BRO...YOU IGNORED SOMEONE FOR AN INDULT AND A MOVIE DISAGREEMENT?...THAT IS WEAK AS HELL...I AM ALSO A PRETTY NICE AND GOOFY GUY...BUT IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A FISH WOMAN BEING DARK SKINNED..WELL...YOU KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.

reply

“You try to insult me by saying I'm a leftist, but I don't identify as leftist or liberal, so your attempted insult falls flat.“

I don’t care what you identify as. Your actions speak louder than your words, so I call it like I see it. You can take that however you want.

reply

Actually you do care enough to call me a leftist. So I think your claim that you do not care is a lie.

reply

Hey. 🤷‍♂️

You don’t want to be called a leftist, don’t act like one.

Also, a lie is what someone says that they know is not true. I don’t know that what I’m saying is not true. Hilarious how you’re so stuck on this one thing, who’s butt hurt here again?

reply

“You really suck at making insults and debating, you should try something else.“

Says the person who doesn’t know the meaning of the word racism but uses it without hesitation, won’t provide any examples or evidence of it being displayed, and equates it with disagreeing with a casting choice in a childhood movie.

reply

What racist backlash is she talking about?

reply

The "racist backlash" that if we're not excited by non stop white replacements in films then we are "racist".

I actually liked this pic. Why can't they just do a different Mermaid then? Why does it have to be Ariel herself?

reply

She didn't create the character so she can hardly complain. Non story.

reply

So, is Skuttle going to be a crow?

reply

Do t worry about that
