Proof that Disney doesn’t care about SJW politics

Disney has had a lot of praise and flack for their support and catering to leftist SJW audiences, with the casting of a black Ariel being one of the biggest definitive pieces of proof. Well, this movie also shows that Disney is only in it for the money and doesn’t give a fuck about actually making a statement or being progressive.

Casting Melissa McCarthy as Ursula is entirely a money move. The original Ursula was designed after, and even intended to have been voiced by, an actual drag queen. This was in 1989, long before modern SJW politics. If Disney really cared, why wouldn’t they actually cast a drag queen or transgender person in a role that was intended for a drag queen or transgender actor? They don’t give a fuck, that’s why. Money, that’s why.

They didn’t cast a black Ariel because of some sort of statement. They casted black Ariel because they knew young progressives would fork over their cash, and because it would probably make Disney seem more charitable and commendable to the public eye. It’s scummy bullshit.

I guarantee you that I'm not watching this shit, and a lot of other people will be turned off by the black Ariel too.

Here's a thought, let's make Tiana white when they get to her story. The SJW's would LOVE that!

It's racist to deliberately take our classic cartoons and stick a black person into the key role. Racism is racism no matter who you discriminate against.

Our cartoon? Who is this "our" you speak of? The Little Mermaid story is public domain. Disney owns the rights to the cartoon they made and are free to exploit it in any manner they wish.

A racist is one who believes that one race is superior to another. What makes you think that a white little mermaid is superior to a black little mermaid? You're the one acting like a racist.

Lol you're mad because they didn't cast a drag queen, even tho in the original they didn't either.

You say they cater to the wallets of SJW's because of the black casting which is correct and that targeting mentally deranged drag queens would not be a lucrative venture at all.

I have no plans to watch it. I watched the live action version of Beauty and the Beast and that was enough for me. It was not great and all these live action remakes are just killing the originals for me.

I'll just stick with the original cartoons!
