If this movie doesn't do well, then I think that's the nail in the coffin for the DCU

And this is Superman.
It's possible it will be a hit based on the success of the GOTG films.
But people can't move past the fact that Henry Cavill is not Superman they can't comprehend it.
Their problem.
Not Gunn’s.
There's this insane obsession with Henry Cavill being Superman, people can't move past this one actor who is essential to their lives, they feel threatened by anyone else playing Superman.
This obsession with Cavill being Superman isn't leading to people being fans of other versions of Superman just his version and are missing out on Superman & Lois and My Adventures With Superman, if your a lifelong Superman fan there's plenty of Superman out there, you don't need Cavill for that.
Cavill was great (but wasted) and I’m sorry to see him gone, but time to move on.
I’m just glad they’re kicking Gadot’s scrawny untalented ass to the curb.

For whatever it's worth...
I still don't believe anyone has played the part better than Christopher Reeve.
The guy was perfect as Superman. The exact right look - the exact right bod. COUld carry himself with authority, yet still play meek Clark Kent.
I don't think anyone (including Cavill) has topped him.
