Not a bad movie, however...
Over two hours was not needed, all that they were trying to convey could have been done in far less time. With that said, it was an interesting piece worth a watch IMO.

shareAgreed. Anything above 100 minutes is too long for this genre.
shareMaybe 15 minutes too long for me.
It seemed like two different movies spliced together. The one about the kids and the alien skeleton in the cave (the Abyss?), and the one about the detective tracing the missing daughter to a cult.
Otherwise, who lugged that skeleton, intact, all the way to St.Louis (of all places) from that cave in the mountains of Bhutan? And what did they need it for? They had Paul (I assume) in that bed. Come to think of it, who found him and kept him alive in Bhutan & then lugged him all that way?
Still, It was worth watching, but I agree with the 6.2 or so it got on IMDB.
It didn't feel too long to me at all, I didn't want it to end. Great movie.
shareGiven that the story was ultimately a waste of time for story reasons, this was definitely too long. I but I really liked it regardless.
