Interesting watching the coke climb from South America north and seeing the hiccups that can happen along the way. Cage was completely restrained. Fishbourne was completely against type. He looks like he had some fun with the role.
I actually enjoyed it a lot and if you're interested in how drugs get from A to B, this is as good a movie as any.

For me, a better fact-based film was the first "Sicario." More engaging good and bad-guys and a better plot, character arcs and theme, IMHO.
Sure, but it's a different film entirely. The interesting part for me was watching how it got from A to B. Sicario was more blam blam kill you at the border stuff. Still fun but a different movie.
shareI am with you, actually. The scores for this film are definitely too low. It's no masterpiece by any means, but it's an above-average movie with a great cast and interesting premise.
My main complaint is that the story gets a little messy and begins to run off the rails a bit just in the last 15 or so minutes. But overall I thought it was pretty good and definitely better than a lot of the dreck that Nic Cage has gotten himself involved in over the last 10 or so years.
I'd give it a 6.5, which for me is not bad.
I found it pretty boring.
