Sequel to II, or Sequel to III?

I want this movie to be a straight up sequel to Insidious Chapter II. Even though the third film was amazing, I felt a clear lack of something, that was there in the first and second films, and not the third. Maybe this film could involve Patrick Wilson again, who btw was amazing in both the previous chapters. But let's wait and see. What about your opinions guys? Please discuss all here, in detail

I thought the first 2 chapters of indidious were amazing. I am a huge fan of James Wan who produced both films. I think (and have heard) that insidious chapter four will be about Elise. How she finds out about her gift and how she can use it. So it's more about what happened before chapter 1 even started.

But unfortunately, there's a new producer so new ideas and a new cast, which means, there will be no Patrick Wilson and, I totally agree with you that he was amazing in both previous chapters. Especially chapter 2 because he had 2 roles; Parker Crain (black bride) in the reality and then his own character in the further.

When I saw on IMDB that they announced insidious 4, I was hoping it would be a sequel to chapter 2. Because what we saw there in the ending was that ghost Elise walked into the house of a family and she told a girl in a weelchair to let go, at that very moment she looked up and I could read on her face that she saw something scary. I still don't know what she saw but people say she saw the red demon face that was haunting Dalton.

I am really excited about chapter 4, so one year to go!

I just read an interview with Lin Shay. It's a direct sequel to the third film, and involves Elisa, Specs and Tucker traveling to New Mexico, and to some extent involves Elise's family. (parents, etc.) It was also implied there was more of a family dynamic between the three characters, with Shay referring to Specs and Tuckers as: "They’re like her two sons, her two bad sons [laughs]."

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

I also want a sequel for the 2nd film but right now I'm more interested in Sequel or Sequels for the 3rd film, I want to see more of their previous ghost/demons adventures before the Chapter 1 and 2.
