James Cordons and Taylor Swift put me off

He's a late night host, not an actor, she's a singer, not an actor. I don't want them on my big screen.

reply

She's not a singer either..

reply

Okay, she's better in that one, but overall I still say she's no singer.

reply

heh heh heh well we're all gonna be seeing a lot more of her on screen so get used to it.

reply

Fortunately, I have the option of not watching, or more particularly, not listening..

James Corden is super gay though, so he belongs in a musical

reply

He is very camp.

I liked Corden in small doses. He's a very grating person. I think he'd be a great award show host. Once a year. That's enough Corden for me. Certainly not every damn night.

lmao that explains a lot. his show was such a trainwreck in the beginning i couldn't stop watching it. now the mere sight of him gives me a shudder.

James Corden, I'm pretty sure, was an actor long before he was a TV show host. Maybe not an amazing one, but an okay one. My only problem with Taylor Swift being in this is that there appears to be a lot of dancing, with the lead a principal ballerina, and Swift is not good at it.

I really liked Cordon in Into the Woods, and I thought he was fine here (Edit: I take it back - James Cordon is an asshole in real life and he inserted his asshole-ness into a character that wasn't an asshole initially. It was not funny and it was not entertaining).

Taylor Swift was only in one scene, and didn't do much acting. I liked her performance of "Macavity", though I didn't understand why they made her character Bombalurina one of the bad guys. She wasn't in the original musical, just a very flirtatious cat.
