Alara's Replacement
What does everyone think of her?
shareShe's OK ... but I like Alara better ... do you know why she left ?
shareI heard she was dating Seth IRL, so when they broke up either he or she decided to go separate ways even on film.
Which, if it was her decision then I'd be okay with it, but if Seth fired her out of spite then I'd definitely not be OK with it.
Considering she got a full episode to herself and a heart-warming send off, I'm inclined to believe it was her decision. Well, I hope anyways.
You heard? How did you happen to hear that. This is the typical harasser BS that we keep hearing about is that is the case. I thought this guy is all new-agey and cool and supporting of women - and then he is dating a co-star. Prostitution in grand style I guess.
shareThis 1 y.o. thread has a lot of "rumors" and some pictures of them together and holding hands

I didn't want to say this, but I am... She reminds me of a trailer park dweller that drinks too much and smokes way too much who happened to show up at the Orville audition and won the role.
I'm most likely wrong, but that was my first though upon seeing her and it hasn't changed yet.
Unfortunately, I thought the same thing. She seems like she'd be picture #4 on the progressive photos of people arrested for crack cocaine usage.
shareDoubly sad, With Alara gone we don't get to see more of Robert Picardo either! But I’m hoping it will be like Beverly Crusher, who also left in season 2 of TNG but returned for season 3 and the following seasons.
I don't think much of Talla yet, she's just not Alara.
She's OK but Alara was more interesting.
shareToo early to tell. Want more data. Still have an open mind about her so far.
shareShe's okay so far. I was afraid they'd replace Alara with the elephant trunk guy played by Patrick Warburton. I like Warburton, but I'm glad they didn't go that way.
shareOh GOD I'm so glad! It was one reason I was upset when Alara left in the episode "Home," because they still had that gross "elephant" guy in charge of security. Thankfully, they did not keep him.
shareGotta agree. I don't really like Alara's replacement but that other character would have been far more annoying.
Warburton has a distinct delivery, but can't he do *anything* else with his voice? ? ?
