I don't see how it's possible to avoid addressing it. Hopefully, there will also be episodes in which Spencer's character is shown to be limited by the social structure as well. What's the point of going back in time if everything then is the sme as now? If they doen't address the differences, it's just another adventure show, like "Scorpion."

Not a lot a stories about time travel have even addressed that issue at all and also there has been exactly *one* episode so far, so it's a little early to be sick of the gag.

Any episode that involves them traveling back further than 1970 more than likely will have him being treated like a second class citizen.
