I have seen several posts about feminism on this board, they all seem to be started by men (I'm one) but not a single one of them seem to have a clue as to what feminism actually is. I'm a Creative Writing Major with a Communications Minor and have taken several classes in both subjects that also double as Women's Studies (Feminism)classes. The ones of you that have made these stupid, uneducated posts should take some of these classes and then maybe you'll get an idea of what feminism actually is. Because it's apparent the majority of you don't have a clue.

Does the word feminist apply to Ginny? We don't know enough about her background yet to know. The one feminist aspect of her character is that she's pursuing her career, despite all the male barriers in front of her and is determined to succeed. What's wrong with that? Not a damn thing that I can see.

I think the show's terrific so far. But what happens to Pitch's audience when it's pre-empted for the play-offs and World Series. There's a legitimate reason for the early low rating too - for two straight week it was on opposite the NFL. But this week, the Thursday game's on the NFL Network which few people have. So more viewers just might find this terrific new series - unless irony of ironies it's on opposite or get's pre-empted by a Play-Off game.

Incidentally, somebody also said this scenario is preposterous. Whomever posted that doesn't read their sports pages very closely. About three months back, either the Dodgers or the Giants signed two female players - an outfielder and a pitcher to minor league contracts. They're the first two women to ever be signed by a Major League baseball team. So maybe there is a "Ginny" or two "Ginny's" waiting for their chance to make it to the "show".

You haven't got a chance in life, bud. You'll be 40 something when it hits you that you gave up your masculinity and got nothing in return.

About three months back, either the Dodgers or the Giants signed two female players - an outfielder and a pitcher to minor league contracts.

Neither team signed female baseball players. Two female players signed with an independent minor league team in Sonoma, CA unaffiliated with any major league baseball team. It's a team on the level of the lowest minors. Here is how those players fared:

Masculinity doesn't have zip to do with feminism. And I haven't given up anything in exchange for what I've learned.

There's also something wrong between that article and the one that was in the local paper. Because it said Sonoma was affiliated with either the Dodgers or the Giants.

I don't expect you to do anything other than scoff at me but I hope for you that my words will echo in your head when your life experience starts to conflict with the indoctrination you're currently receiving. Do one thing for me: read some works that your teachers and progressive-controlled news sources tell you shouldn't read.

i dont think anyone has called ginny a feminist, what i personally bitched about is the man hating from the "news programs" shown on the tv's in the show. You also dont actually seem to understand what this current feminist movement is, which btw is garbage, feminism has gone past wishing for equality to demanding special treatment above and beyond equality! hell any group that thinks "man spreading" is oppressive needs to be silenced because obviously its full of morons.

Wilde's post was hilarious and summed up the ridiculousness of the OP perfectly. RJ, all of your worthless degrees are just that: worthless. You can get as many lesbian studies degrees as your parents will pay for. It doesn't change the fact that you don't know anything about baseball. or life. The only way a woman will ever play in the big leagues as some sort of publicity stunt to placate the feminists. It certainly won't be on merit. The numbers and simple biology (which is never wrong) make it impossible.

Feminism is simply the belief that women should have equal rights as men---nothing hard to figure out about that. PITCH is a pretty good entertaining drama, and I enjoy on that level. I'm not a sports fan or anything, I and I like it. And, yeah, I'm a black woman who also enjoys watching a program about a black woman doing something different from the norm, which is refreshing. And most of you men on here whining about a women pitching in the major league or whatever need to just shut the hell up and enjoy the show. That's all it's really about . Also, it makes me laugh to e so any men threatened by the mere idea of a woman being to pitcher---get real, it's only a TV show.

We stood by for many many years and said nothing. In the 80's and 90's we supported the women's movement and "Feminism" because it meant something.

Today, there IS equality. In fact there is FEMALE PRIVILEGE. WE dont even mind about that. But when you THIRD WAVE Feminists come and attack us we finally said, "enough"! and are calling you out on your BS at every opportunity.

"Feminism" has metastasized and mutated into something that ALL feminist can not even agree upon between themselves. Most women DO believe in equality. But only 7% of you identify as Feminists today because you have pushed out any normal, sensible female because of the TOXIC rhetoric of Third Wave Feminism. The other 93% realize that their really is no need for Feminism today because women HAVE achieved equality. In fact, MORE than equality in so many cases.

That does not stop radicals from CREATING issues (myths) like the gender pay gap (debunked totally), man spreading, gaming issues...OMG! Total BS. So much so that there is a HUGE backlash not only from MEN, but many many women are now getting involved attacking the modern toxic Third Wave Feminists.
Trust me. The women anti feminists are far more brutal and vindictive than any men. They SAVAGE you miscreants and societal trouble makers.

Wealthy celebrities identify as feminists, and decry "inequality" with their mansions, body guards, cars, planes, etc because it is a "cause celeb"
Meanwhile MOST of the female celebs are quietly saying "WTF? Are you kidding me???"

You call US fragile? Ha! Dont thinks so. Not even close. Just fed up. Our response is like like us finally swatting at that pesky mosquito. We realize you are a huge but vocal, toxic minority doomed to extinction by your very nature.

In the mean time, if you buzz around our ears, expect to be swatted!..like vermin pests that you are.
