Doug Bradley has the same problem as Robert England
Their problem is age and not really having the stamina to sit in a makeup chair for hours for their iconic role, in addition to the physicality involved with their roles. Granted Pinhead was not as active as Freddy who would get into physical confrontations with his victims, however both roles require some aspect of physicality. The problem is that both developed their own cult following and have become heavily tied with their role which makes it hard to cast a suitable replacement for the role, in addition to the quality writing of the script. I think fans need to come to the realization that their horror icons are going to hang it up for various reason, the biggest one being age, with them being replaced for future installments. I also think that it is up to casting departments to find a suitable replacement as well to carry on these franchises. I have just seen the Pin Head for this film and he looks like a suitable replacement, hopefully the script is well developed as well to carry on the franchise and not reflect a blatant cash grab by the studio. However I feel the latter may be more plausible.
